I am working with my client who is a small but growing Call Center provider who has outgrown QuickBooks Enterprise.  We are evaluating several cloud-based General Ledger systems including NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics 365.  I would appreciate any other general ledger software recommendations suitable for a call center operation.  I would also appreciate any feedback on use of NetSuite and/or MS Dynamics for a call center provider?  Thanks.  Eric

Eric, I have used several accounting software packages and, as fate would have it, am now at a company that uses Dynamics SL (formerly Solomon).  SL is known for its ability to be customized and I cannot confirm or deny that.  Otherwise though, it is clunky/old fashioned and not user friendly.  Better to choose something else.

Dear Eric,

I believe Intacct software would work well. My caveats are that I've worked in nonprofit finance the majority of my career and that my impression of Intacct is formed by webinars I've attended. It looks like a powerful software.  Good luck.

Thanks for the recommendation.  We are looking at IntAcct.  It has a good reputation.  Eric

Also, the AICPA has endorsed Intacct.

We reviewed for our mid size company four alternatives and found that NETSUITES appear to be best.  However, the Board decided to hold off on the project.

In my work as a "CFOs" best friend, I often help fellow CFOs find the best fit software.  In over 25 years of selecting Reporting and GL software, my favorite is Dynamic NAV(it is Navision).  It has one of the best and most flexible chart of accounts design structure. I also recently attended the Accoutex show Boston and learned there a number of other creditable cloud offerings that most of us have probabley never heard of.  Happy to through out other ideas to you .  Connect me at [email protected]

We evaluated both Netsuite and Intacct and went with Intacct due to its powerful revenue recognition module (we are a software company).  Both products are worth a look, but the Dimensions feature of Intacct was interesting to us for slicing P&L views.

You'll love Intacct.  I've used it at a couple of different companies, implemented it at my last.  It is a very robust cloud accounting package and supports multi-entities.  Reporting is great and it's easy to use.  You may want to also check out Bill.com with integrates well with Intacct and is a nice bill paying / invoice and document storage solution.  /Regards, Terri
