I'm seekng alternatives and suggestions for accounting software for a company in the heavy civil and underground utilities spac. The company is currently on Timesuite Toolbox, but I'm very concerned about its capacity to take us where we are going (revenue has increased 500% in four years). I expect we'll be approaching $60MM in two years.  Already have demos scheduled with Viewpoint and Sage 300CRE.  Any suggestions and experiences would be greatly appreciated.  We also use Heavy Bid and Heavy Job, so interaction with these is critical.  Thx, SJ

Steve, I realize this reply is pretty late, but we used Viewpoint at a previous employer and I liked it a lot. Never used the Sage product.

I've used Sage 300 CRE for about 3 years.  It's a great software if used as intended (don't try to customize it).  Accept it downfalls and be prepared to buy bolt ons.  Some are very good.  I'm currently in the same industry.  Our consultant set the system up for us in a way that it works very well.  Gives us what we need.  We use HCCS bolt ons for Heavy Bid and Heavy Job manager.  All time is entered remotely and approved on iPads.  Very efficient.  The only issues we have are internal.  Garbage in Garbage out or no info in no info out.  Working on fixing one of our bridges from HB to Sage and we should be good to go.
