The Finance & Accounting Manager is responsible for internal and external financial reporting, forecasting and analysis, and development and maintenance of accounting principles, policies, and procedures.  This position will also be the main interface with the company’s auditors and be a lead in the implementation of new financial systems.  This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, year-end audit procedures, and the support of budget and forecast activities.  The Finance & Accounting Manager will report to the CFO and will have regular contact with the Controller as well as members of the Executive Management Team and others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

CPA with recent experience auditing required

Develop and document accounting policies in compliance with US GAAP and manage any related required process changes necessary to modify existing processes and/or create new processes that support the accounting conclusions.  This includes multiple element revenue recognition accounting.

Ensure accurate and timely internal and external reporting, including required bank reporting.

Perform certain accounting activities including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Perform all required profit and gain sharing reporting.

Oversee the quarterly forecasting process and the management thereof.  Manage longer term projections as required.

Perform routine and ad hoc profitability analyses as required, providing insight and recommending results oriented actions.

Prepare the monthly financial information for the Board package.

Manage all foreign statutory related audit processes, responses and requirements.

Oversee non-routine accounting including non-cash stock compensation, the tax provision, goodwill impairment, and other items to prepare for the company’s year-end reporting.

Manage the year-end financial statement reporting process including all required footnotes.

Manage the audit engagement including the interim and planning phases.

Assist the Controller as needed, including work required to enable the financial statements to be audited.

With the CFO and Controller, lead the implementation of new financial systems.


3-4 years of recent audit experience required preferably Big 4.

Supervisory/management experience strongly preferred.

2+ years of private company experience preferred.

Solid process implementation and written skills including policy writing.

Qualifications:  Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance.   CPA required.

Technical Skills:  Must be a strong technical accountant including skills covering revenue recognition (multiple element arrangements), tax provision accounting, internal software accounting.
