Try a national organization called Management Recruiters. I find they are available in most major areas such as Charlotte. I've experienced good results using them in the midwest.

In Charlotte there are some local firms that are pretty active. Try to connect with Sockwell Partners. They are active with both the large companies and the smaller, private-equity funded firms. Good luck.

The FENG Raleigh chapter holds an annual Friends of FENG meet in December. [Friends = reputable recruiters] The Greensboro chapter has held at least one of these events as well. I suggest contacting the chapter chair to see if there is a current recruiter list. Several of these search firms will have a presence in Charlotte.
