Job Purpose:
The Financial Planning & Analysis Sr. Analyst is a key finance position with an opportunity to build and provide critical financial support to the business teams. We’re looking for someone with strong analytical skills, who is a self-starter, a great communicator and who enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents, in a dynamic fast-paced environment. This role will support primarily professional services department within the company and reports into the Head of FP&A.
Responsibilities:
• Establish strong business partner relationship with professional services department
• Perform profitability analysis, and other project finance analysis for the professional services organization to drive improvement in the business
• Develop deep understanding of the professional services project quote-to-cash process, time logging, and resource planning and analysis
• Work closely with sales operations, professional services, accounting, and other teams, providing finance expertise
• Update, maintain, and track key operating performance indicators
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecast with a good understanding of the departments goals
• Assist in monthly/quarterly forecast and variance analysis and reporting
• Work on business operations and analytics tools implementation to ensure automation and proper key metrics tracking
Qualifications:
• Excellent analytical ability, strong communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to work issues across functions.
• Previous FP&A experiences being the finance business partner supporting the professional services organizations
• Demonstrated previous project management experience driving business analytics, performing proper diagnosis, and proposing potential solutions to the issues.
• Experience developing, recommending and implementing solutions to complex business issues.
• Advanced working experience with spreadsheet modeling, financial analysis, formula writing/interpretation, and charting/graphing skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Team player, dependable, flexible, and attention to detail in all areas
• Quick learner enjoys change, takes initiative, self-starter, enjoys problem solving
Education/Certifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• 6-8 Years of Finance experience as a financial analyst
• Large public company and private company experience preferred
• Experiences with Netsuite and/or Adaptive Insights
• SaaS Software industry experience is a plus
• MBA or CPA a plus
