I am passing on a position search that I received this past week for a CFO of O'Dea High School. The e-mail from the search firm stated:
In support of O’Dea High School’s mission, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays an integral part in sustaining a solid foundation of quality education and continuing this work well into the future. Working as an advisor to the Principal, Board, and Board Finance Committee, the CFO will take the lead in strategic financial management by providing meaningful direction, actionable feedback and organized processes in all financial and operational areas across the organization. As with every member of the O’Dea community, the CFO will embody the school’s tradition, values and call to service.
We are looking for candidates who have an expert knowledge of accounting, financial management, procurement, contracting, budgeting and forecasting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of best practices regarding procedures, policies, and processes in order to help develop an efficient and effective financial operating system. In addition, given the collaborative nature of this role, we are seeking a leader with strong skills in relationship building and team management, and someone who is excited to work for a mission-based organization dedicated to making the world a better place for teens.
