We are currently seeking a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. The Director of FP&A is responsible for providing financial leadership to drive business results and operating efficiencies for our four companies: FIJI Water, JUSTIN/Landmark, Neptune and Vintage Nurseries.
Reporting to the CFO, the Director of FP&A will be responsible for delivering information that critically affects the business and influences business decisions. This position provides an opportunity for an established, broad-based finance executive to join the Company at a point where its finance team becomes more strategic in its support of a rapidly growing organization. The core FP&A responsibilities will ensure that he/she will have an umbrella view of the businesses and will quickly develop close relationships with the entire leadership team.
The Director of FP&A will be an accomplished financial executive who already possesses a strong understanding of operational financial management, decision support, and financial planning and analysis. The ideal candidate is equally adept at "rolling up their sleeves" with the team to produce high quality work products. From a cultural standpoint, the successful candidate will be a collaborative team player who builds strong relationships across functional lines and thrives on adding value. He/she will have highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including outstanding presentation skills and ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively at all levels of the organization.
This candidate will have the ability to take complex issues and to boil them down into concise, easy to understand analysis that drives sound business decisions. Our successful candidate must be a high energy, balanced leader capable of driving change in a matrix environment. Further, this person will be comfortable with ambiguity, respectful of others and appreciate the tremendous heritage and many factors that have made the Company the success it is today.
Principle Responsibilities:
Prepare Management presentation materials and other formal financial materials. Develop clear and informative methods of presenting financial data
Provide guidance on cost and inventory accounting for businesses
Identify, analyze, and monitor issues that affect profitability, growth, and productivity
Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and present findings to senior management
Lead special projects as designed and defined by the CFO or President
Drive effective monthly and quarterly financial forecasting and reporting process
Direct the development and preparation of short-term and long-term financial plans and annual budgets.
Enhance and provide leadership for the annual financial budgeting process including the capital planning and budgeting process to ensure they are linked with corporate strategy and overall business goals
M&A, including acquisition analysis, due diligence and integration
Maintain a strong team focusing on "professional people development," accountability, respect and driving for results
Build and provide financial oversight for the IT roadmap for financial and operational systems
Participate as financial representative on project teams
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree; MBA preferred
Minimum of 10 years of forecasting, financial planning and analysis
Recent experience in presenting financial reports and forecasts to senior-level executives
Self-starter with ability to work independently high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit
Ability to lead, influence and build relationships
Very strong conceptual and strategic thinking
Strong problem solving and sound business judgment; ability to anticipate issues and resolve them
Excellent written & oral communication skills
Must be a team player
Experience with Oracle EBS and/or JD Edwards a plus
