Message:FENG Members - I have a consulting relationship with a firm in central NC. The client is an S-Corp and has relied upon the services of a remote CPA firm to perform reviews (required by lender), prepare tax returns for the principals and provide various advice & services. I am now providing various advice & services. I am not prepared to offer review and tax services.
The principals have determined that a local CPA firm will likely meet their needs for more timely and cost effective reviews and tax advice/compliance. They have asked me to sniff around my networks for any CPA firms in central NC that may be interested in pursuing such an engagement. This is a manufacturing firm, with current revenues between $5 and $10 million, and there are domestic as well as international sales. In 2007, revenues were approaching $20 million before the economy ripped the floor out from under them. I believe the firm is poised for a strong recovery over the next 12 to 18 months.
I am prepared to discuss the firm in a little more detail with parties exhibiting serious interest. I look forward to the pleasure of hearing from you. Best regards –
Roger Scott, CPA

Suggest you speak to Brad Earle in the Greensboro, Nc chapter for CPA firm recommendations. Should be able to steer you toward a good group.
