Hello
I'm considering hiring Execujobs and Mark Rich for career coaching and
job hunting assistance. Has anyone worked with him in the past and, if
so, what comments or guidance might you have?
Thank you.
John

I have no experience with paid career coaches, but before you consider hiring anyone you should google the name + "complaints" or "reviews" or "scam"
In particular, you will find Execujobs prominently positioned there. Not that you should believe everything you read on the web, but it certainly should be eye-opening.

Thanks Dan. I've read all the blog complaints, which the company vigorously challenges in our
personal meetings. I'm hoping to find someone in FENG who has had personal experience
either with Mark Rich or Execujobs.
Thanks again Dan, I appreciate your comment.

Paying for executive coaching, I understand. I don't recommend paying for job search assistance.

I have also been approached by Chris DeLuise from Execujobs about signing on with them. Does anyone have any recent experience with them.
Thanks

I was also approached by Chris DeLuis who, it appears, got my background and contact information from a job board listing I responded to which I now believe was a total fishing expedition. I've seen this identical COO/CFO posting on several boards in several different locations, all suspiciously based in N.J.
I went through an intial multi-hour discussion with Chris but will not be signing on for any of his services.

Roger

Hi Roger
I had an original conversation with Chris DeLuise and was intrigued by the concept so I scheduled a follow up call. In the interim I spoke to a number of other friends who had gone through job searches and a friend that is a recruiter. The comments I received back ranged from I've never heard of them to I've never heard of anyone paying to get a job to you would be crazy to spend your money that way. I also found many negative comments about firms like this online, although there were no complaints registered with the Better Business Bureau against his firm.
On my next conversation with Chris I related to him that I was skeptical based upon conversations with people I knew, and I asked him to give me a fee quote and give me references that I could speak to before I pursued this. Since I am in Northern Westchester County, I needed more specific information before I committed going to New Jersey for this. He would not provide either and only wanted to give me his continued sales pitch at which point I told him I was not interested and hung up.
Based on his lack of transparency, I would avoid him and his firm like the plague.

Hi John
I had no contact with Mark Rich but I was solicited by Chris Deluise from his firm and I was turned off by his high pressure sales tactics and his unwillingness to give me a breakdown of what it would cost me or any references that I could speak to ahead of time. I was also unable to find anyone who had ever worked with them who could give me a recommendation.
